Examination Policy
At ICAHS, the Examination Policy is designed to ensure fairness, transparency, and academic excellence across all
disciplines. The policy governs the conduct of internal assessments and outlines student responsibilities, eligibility
criteria, and consequences of non-compliance.
1. Types of Examinations
The following types of examinations are conducted at ICAHS:
• Class Tests (CTs): Conducted weekly to assess student learning and progress.
• Monthly Assessments: Formal written assessments conducted at the end of every month.
• SLPs (Short Length Papers): Chapter-wise and quarter-book tests under the iKON Test Series.
• FLPs (Full Length Papers): Half-book and full-book exams before send-ups.
• Send-Up / Mock Exams: Final preparatory exams replicating the board/faculty exam environment.
• Practical Examinations: Hands-on skill evaluations conducted in laboratories or affiliated hospitals.
2. Eligibility Criteria for Internal Exams
• Minimum 80% attendance in academic classes is mandatory to sit for internal examinations.
• Completion of all previous tests and assignments is required.
• Students with fee defaulters status may not be allowed to sit in exams unless cleared.
3. Examination Protocols
• Students must arrive 15 minutes before the start of exams.
• Use of mobile phones or unauthorized materials is strictly prohibited.
• Students must bring their ID cards and allowed stationery only.
• Strict invigilation and reporting of any misconduct during exams.
• Biometric attendance may be used during key assessments.
4. Passing Criteria
• Minimum passing marks for each subject is 50%.
• Students must maintain an average of 70% marks in internal assessments to qualify for roll number issuance
of Board/Faculty exams.
• Practical exams must be passed separately and are equally weighted.
5. Roll Number Slip Issuance Criteria
• Roll number slips for Board (FBISE), Faculty (PMF), or Council (Pharmacy Council) examinations will only
be issued if:
• Minimum 80% attendance is maintained.
• 100% dues are cleared.
• Internal exam performance is satisfactory (average 70% or above).
• Practical logbooks are duly signed and submitted.
6. Supplementary Examination Policy
• Students who fail in any subject may reappear in the supplementary exam.
• Supplementary exam fee must be submitted within the given deadline.
• A maximum of two attempts are allowed to clear a failed subject as per board/faculty regulations.
7. Practical Examination Policy
• Regular participation in hospital/college lab training is mandatory.
• Practical assessments will be based on skill performance and logbook completion.
• Students must wear lab coats and follow SOPs during practical exams.
8. Result Announcement
• Results are displayed on the official notice board and may be communicated via WhatsApp or college portal.
• Students can apply for rechecking of theory papers (not practical) by submitting a rechecking fee within the
deadline.
9. Disciplinary Actions
• Cheating, impersonation, or any form of academic dishonesty will lead to disqualification and disciplinary
action.
• Students found disturbing the exam environment may be suspended or expelled.
10. Appeals & Grievances
• Students can submit a written application to the Examination Department within 3 working days in case of
a grievance related to marks, attendance, or misconduct allegations.
• This policy aims to uphold the credibility of academic achievements and instill a culture of discipline,
integrity, and academic accountability among students of ICAHS
